What are style shoots? Style shoots are small mock up events of weddings, proposal, or any type of photography that a photography (or any other content creator) can use for their portfolio and websites. One great way to find out about style shoots is joining Facebook groups or follow Instagram pages that focus on style shoots. If you are in the beginning stages of your photography business, style shoots can be pricy, but it is worth every penny. Another alternative is to plan your own style shoot. Usually when I plan for my own style shoot, I create a vision board. Then that vision board keeps me organized, in which I then begin looking for models, location scouting, preparing props, and occasionally have other photographers join in. This is a great way to build your portfolio/website, but it's also a great way to showcase your style of photography! Definitely try one out and let me know how it went!
